About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a secondary school seeking an enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher of Science to join their team from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated practitioner to deliver high‑quality Science teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach at Key Stage 5. The role offers the opportunity to take on additional responsibility through a TLR for the right candidate.

The Role: Teacher of Science

As a Teacher of Science, you will deliver engaging and effective lessons, supporting students to achieve strong outcomes while fostering curiosity and a love of Science.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to curriculum delivery and development, while promoting high expectations and a positive learning environment.


What You Will Do

  • Deliver high‑quality Science teaching across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
  • Plan engaging lessons that challenge and support all learners
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching accordingly
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and well‑managed classroom environment
  • Support curriculum development and share best practice
  • Motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential
  • Contribute to enrichment activities and wider school life
  • Promote safeguarding, attendance, and student wellbeing

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it
  • Strong subject knowledge across Science
  • Proven ability, or clear potential, to raise student attainment
  • Ability to engage and motivate learners of all abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities (TLR where appropriate)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
