About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join a modern and forward‑thinking Secondary School in Oldham. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, inspiring students to develop strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
We are recruiting for roles starting in September or immediately, and we would be delighted to discuss the position in more detail as you progress to the next stage of the process.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Science lessons to students of varying abilities
- Develop and implement curriculum‑aligned lesson plans
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and academic growth
- Use innovative and creative teaching strategies to boost engagement
- Take part in departmental meetings, training sessions, and whole‑school activities
Requirements
- A degree in Science, Education, or a related subject
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Previous experience teaching Science at Secondary level (preferred but not essential)
- Strong communication skills and effective classroom management
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a genuine passion for education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
