Science Teacher – Oldham Secondary School

Position: Science Teacher (Full-time)
Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Salary: In line with MPS/UPS Scale Points

About the Role:

Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join one of our excellent partner secondary schools in Oldham. This is a full-time, long-term position with an immediate start, offering you the opportunity to make a significant impact on students' education in a vibrant and supportive environment.

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and dynamic Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring that students are motivated, challenged, and supported to achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Engage students with interactive and hands-on experiments, fostering a love for Science.
  • Monitor student progress, assess work, and provide constructive feedback to support academic development.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment with effective classroom management strategies.
  • Prepare students for GCSE Science exams, ensuring they are confident and well-prepared.
  • Collaborate with the Science department to develop resources and share best practices.

About You:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge in all Science disciplines, with the ability to teach at a range of levels.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and a proactive approach to engaging students.
  • Passionate about Science education and inspiring young minds.
  • Able to start immediately and commit to the full-time role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
