Are you a passionate Science teacher looking for a fresh start in September 2024? We have an exciting opportunity at our Ofsted Outstanding school in Durham, and we would love to hear from both ECT and fully qualified teachers!
Position: Science Teacher
Pay: Competitive daily rate (£153.84 to £238.58)
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: September 2024
About the Role:
- Teach KS3 and KS4 Science across a range of abilities and subjects.
- Engage in a variety of extracurricular activities.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of our department’s results.
- Plan, deliver, and mark Science lessons tailored to diverse student needs.
- Utilize excellent facilities and up-to-date equipment.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- Effective classroom management skills.
- A child-only DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one (we can assist with this during registration).
- Two professional references from recent employment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
