General Science Teacher
Clitheroe, Lancashire Full-Time Start Date: November 2026 (January 2027 considered for the right candidate) Until July 2027
Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a welcoming and well-regarded mainstream secondary school in Clitheroe, Lancashire, who are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic General Science Teacher to join their department on a full-time basis.
The school is ideally looking for a candidate who can commence in November 2026; however, they are willing to wait until January 2027 for an exceptional applicant.
The Role
- Full-time General Science Teacher position
- Teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Planning, preparation and marking responsibilities included
- Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons that support pupil progress
- Monitor and assess student achievement in line with school policies
- Work collaboratively with an established Science department
- Contract running initially until July 2027
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Science within a secondary school setting
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics at KS3, with at least one science specialism at KS4
- Committed to supporting students of all abilities to achieve their full potential
- Available to work on a full-time basis and undertake planning and marking responsibilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
