Science Teacher (Maternity Cover)

September Start | Full-Time | Potential Permanent Opportunity

 

We are seeking a fully qualified Science Teacher to join a thriving and ambitious secondary school on a maternity cover basis from September, with the potential for a permanent role for the right candidate.

This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are passionate about delivering high-quality science education and inspiring young people.

 

The Role

  • Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4
  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday
  • Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons
  • Assessing, monitoring, and supporting student progress
  • Working collaboratively within a supportive and forward-thinking department

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Ability to teach Science confidently (Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics)
  • Strong classroom management and a commitment to inclusive teaching
  • Enthusiasm, professionalism, and a team-oriented mindset
  • ECTs are very welcome to apply

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
