A vibrant, diverse and dynamic academy in the heart of Bristol is looking for an enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their welcoming and thriving science department for the new academic year.

As a Science Teacher at this ‘good’ school, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons and inspiring students to develop their scientific knowledge and skills. You will have access to state-of-the-art facilities and resources to support your teaching, as well as ongoing professional development opportunities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Planning outstanding lessons that meet the needs of all students whilst developing a high-quality programme of study that includes accurate target setting.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of students and take appropriate action to ensure all students achieve their potential through exceptional methods of feedback.
  • Meeting the needs of learners from key identified groups, including pupil premium, looked after children, SEND and High Attaining students.
  • Recognise, value and support the delivery of opportunities which extend beyond the confines of classroom delivery and seek to enrich and add value to the students experience & learning.
  • Empowered to develop your own expert practice and support the development of other.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A degree in Science or a related subject
  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Experience teaching Science at the secondary level
  • A passion for inspiring students to learn and succeed

Part time will be considered too.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
