Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Science Teacher to work within a secondary school in the Bournemouth area.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Science Teacher, ECT or qualified educator seeking a part-time position. The school is looking for someone who can inspire curiosity, develop scientific understanding and create engaging learning experiences for students.

Current Teaching Personnel Science opportunities in Bournemouth include KS3 and KS4 teaching and welcome applications from both experienced teachers and ECTs.

The Role

As a Science Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.

• Develop students' understanding across Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

• Use practical investigations and varied teaching approaches to bring scientific concepts to life.

• Differentiate lessons to support students with a range of abilities and learning needs.

• Assess and monitor student progress.

• Provide effective feedback to support academic development.

• Prepare students for GCSE examinations where appropriate.

• Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.

• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.

• Work collaboratively with other members of the Science department.

• Contribute to departmental planning and wider school initiatives.

• Encourage students to develop curiosity, critical thinking and a genuine interest in Science.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally:

• Hold QTS, QTLS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Have experience teaching Science within a secondary school.

• Have strong subject knowledge across Science.

• Be confident teaching KS3 and KS4.

• Have excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.

• Be able to plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.

• Have excellent communication and organisational skills.

• Build strong relationships with students and colleagues.

• Be enthusiastic, reliable and adaptable.

• Be committed to supporting students of all abilities.

• Demonstrate a genuine passion for Science and education.
