Job description

A welcoming and forward-thinking mainstream secondary school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their department on a full-time basis from February 2026 in Bournemouth.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who can deliver engaging and effective Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will be committed to raising achievement, fostering curiosity, and supporting students to reach their full potential.

The role will include:

  • Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4 (specialism considered)

  • Planning and delivering high-quality, engaging lessons

  • Assessing and monitoring pupil progress in line with school policies

  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment

  • Working collaboratively within a supportive Science department

The school is looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Has experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school setting

  • Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and classroom management

  • Is enthusiastic, reliable, and committed to high standards of teaching and learning

This role would be suitable for both experienced teachers and confident ECTs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
