Job Type: Full‑Time, Permanent (Part‑Time Considered)

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Are you an experienced or newly qualified Secondary Science Teacher looking for a teaching job in Bath? We are working with a well‑regarded secondary school seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher with a passion for science education who can inspire students and deliver high‑quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
The Role – Secondary Science Teaching in Bath
The successful candidate will teach Science across the secondary curriculum. A strong general understanding of Biology, Chemistry and Physics is essential.
If you are a specialist in one science discipline, you are still strongly encouraged to apply, even if you do not currently teach all three sciences independently. Support is available within the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Demonstrate a clear passion for your subject, inspiring students to enjoy and achieve in Science
- Maintain strong classroom management and positive behaviour for learning
- Assess, monitor and track student progress effectively
- Adapt teaching to support mixed abilities and learning styles
- Contribute to a collaborative and supportive Science department
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards QTS
- Experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school setting
- Confident knowledge of Biology, Chemistry and Physics at secondary level
- Subject specialist in one science area (desirable but not essential)
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Passionate about teaching and inspiring young people
