Science Teacher – Basingstoke

Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full‑time
Phase: KS3–KS4 (Ages 11–16)

A forward‑looking secondary school in Basingstoke is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join its developing Science team from September 2026. This full‑time opportunity is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about inspiring curiosity, delivering engaging practical science, and supporting all students to achieve their best.

The Science Department

Who We’re Looking For

You will be:

  • A qualified Science Teacher with strong subject knowledge (Biology, Chemistry or Physics)
  • Confident teaching across KS3 and KS4
  • Passionate about practical science and engaging teaching approaches
  • Committed to inclusive practice and high expectations for all learners
  • A reflective practitioner who values teamwork and continuous improvement

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Science across KS3 and KS4, planning engaging and well‑structured lessons
  • Deliver practical work safely and confidently
  • Use assessment to identify gaps and support progress
  • Contribute to departmental planning and whole‑school priorities
  • Support enrichment opportunities such as STEM clubs or activities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
