Part-Time Science Teacher | Dorchester | September Start

Inspire the next generation of scientists in a welcoming middle school!

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a friendly and supportive middle school in Dorchester to recruit an enthusiastic Science Teacher for a part-time position (2–3 days per week) starting this September.

This is an exciting opportunity to teach Key Stage 3 (Years 5–8) students in a well-resourced school that values creativity, collaboration, and high-quality teaching. The role will include planning, preparation, and marking, making it ideal for a teacher looking for a rewarding long-term position with flexibility.

The Role

  • Part-Time Science Teacher
  • 2–3 days per week
  • September start
  • Teaching Science to Years 5–8 (KS3)
  • Planning, preparation, and marking responsibilities included
  • Deliver engaging and practical Science lessons
  • Assess pupil progress and provide effective feedback
  • Work closely with the Science department and wider school team

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or has relevant teaching experience
  • Has experience teaching Science at KS3 level
  • Is confident planning and delivering engaging lessons
  • Has strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Is passionate about inspiring young people and developing a love of Science
  • Works well as part of a collaborative and supportive team
  • Is committed to achieving the best outcomes for every pupil
