Science Teacher – Part-Time | Dorchester | September Start

Looking for a flexible teaching opportunity this September?

A welcoming and supportive middle school in Dorchester is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Teacher to join their team from September.

This is a fantastic part-time opportunity (2–3 days per week) to teach Key Stage 3 pupils (Years 5–8) for the full academic year. The school is committed to providing a high-quality education and offers a collaborative working environment where staff are supported to thrive.

The Role

  • Science Teacher
  • Part-time – 2 to 3 days per week
  • September start
  • Full academic year contract
  • Teaching KS3 Science across Years 5–8 in a middle school setting
  • Paid to scale (M1–M6 dependent on experience)
  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and practical Science lessons
  • Inspire curiosity and encourage a love of scientific discovery
  • Work closely with colleagues to provide an engaging and inclusive curriculum

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or has relevant teaching experience
  • Has experience teaching Science at KS3 level
  • Can deliver engaging and well-structured lessons
  • Has excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Builds strong relationships with pupils and colleagues
  • Is organised, reliable, and committed to achieving the best outcomes for all learners
  • Enjoys working as part of a supportive and collaborative school team
