Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Specialist Cover Supervisor to join a thriving secondary school in Rochdale. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate with a degree in Science or a related subject who is passionate about education and keen to develop their experience working with young people.

As a Science Specialist Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absences, deliver pre-planned lessons, and support students in maintaining a positive learning environment. Your specialist subject knowledge will be particularly valuable in supporting Science lessons across Key Stages 3 & 4.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or General Science.
  • A genuine interest in pursuing a career in education.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Confidence working with secondary-aged students.
  • The ability to motivate and engage learners.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
