Caretaker / Site Assistant
Location: Bordon, Hampshire (Hollywater area)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 4:00pm
A welcoming and community-focused school in the Hollywater area of Bordon is seeking a friendly and dependable Caretaker / Site Assistant to join its team. About the Role
This is a varied, hands-on position that would suit someone who enjoys practical work and takes pride in looking after buildings and outdoor spaces. No two days are the same, and the role offers the satisfaction of knowing your work directly supports children’s learning and wellbeing.
Applications are welcomed from individuals with maintenance or practical experience gained in a wide range of settings, including housing, facilities, trades, retail, hospitality, healthcare, or community environments. Full training and ongoing support will be provided to help you feel confident and successful in the role.
Key Responsibilities

Help maintain the safety, security, and overall appearance of the school site

Carry out routine checks, minor repairs, and basic maintenance tasks

Keep outdoor areas such as playgrounds, paths, and entrances clean and safe

Support the setup of rooms and spaces for school activities and events

Assist with deliveries, contractors, and visitors to the site

Carry out health and safety checks and report any issues appropriately

Work closely with school staff to support the smooth day-to-day running of the site

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
