KS2 SATs Intervention Teaching Assistant – Manchester (M15)
Contract: Full-time, until June 2026
Location: Manchester M15
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 SATs Intervention Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in pupils’ academic progress and confidence as they prepare for their SATs.
Role Overview
As an Intervention Assistant, you will:
- Deliver targeted support sessions to pupils in Year 6, focusing on English and Maths to ensure they are fully prepared for KS2 SATs.
- Work with small groups and individual pupils who are working below age-related expectations, helping them close gaps in learning.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the specific needs of each child, ensuring lessons are engaging and effective.
- Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and SENCO where necessary.
- Support pupils’ confidence and resilience, encouraging a positive attitude towards learning and assessments.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 months experience working within a primary school setting, following the National Curriculum.
- Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum, particularly in English and Maths.
- Ability to deliver structured interventions and differentiate learning for pupils of varying abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to supporting pupil progress.
- A genuine passion for education and helping children achieve their full potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
