RELIGIOUS STUDIES TEACHER- SOLIHULL, B92- FULL TIME- STARTING AFTER EASTER

Teaching Personnel are seeking a humanities teacher who can specialise in Religious Studies on a full time basis to work at one our fantastic partner schools.

Ideally, applicants will be confident in delivering all of the humanities subjects.

 

Important details:

- Hours: Full Time, Term-Time only (Mon-Fri, 08:30-15:15)

- Location: Mainstream secondary school, Solihull (B92)

- Rate of pay: To Scale (MPS/UPS) (starting from £170 per day)

-Start date: ASAP

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Plan engaging and informative RS lessons for Years 7-11, catering to individual needs within each class

- Mark and assess pupils work regularly to track progress and provide feedback to support their learning

- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for pupils to thrive

- Maintain a commitment to safeguarding, following the schools' policies and procedures at all times

- Show a strong knowledge of the RS national curriculum whilst also being confident of covering History, Geography and PSHE lessons

 

Ideal Applicant Specification:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Religious Studies/Humanities

- Recent, relevant experience teaching RS in a UK secondary school

- Confident with planning and marking responsibility

- Strong behaviour management skills and excellent classroom command

- Understanding of how to support students with low level SEN within a mainstream secondary school

- Confident, positive and professional individual who is confident about making a positive impact within the school
