Salary: MPS/UPS – Dependent on Experience

A secondary school in Bridport is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Religious Studies Teacher to join its teaching team from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator who can inspire students to explore a range of religious, ethical and philosophical topics while developing their critical thinking and analytical skills. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering engaging lessons and supporting students in achieving strong academic outcomes.

The Role:

  • Deliver Religious Studies lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assess, monitor and support student progress.
  • Encourage respectful discussion and independent thinking.
  • Contribute positively to the wider school community and departmental initiatives.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Religious Studies within a secondary school setting.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
  • The ability to motivate and engage learners of varying abilities.
