Reception Teacher (Early Years Specialist)

Salary: Paid To Scale

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and knowledgeable Reception Teacher with specific Early Years experience to join one of our small but mighty Primary schools.
This is an exciting opportunity for an Early Years teacher who is passionate about delivering high-quality education and ensuring all children receive the best possible start to schooling within a nurturing, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Daily responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality, play-based learning experiences that support all areas of the EYFS curriculum
- Creating and maintaining a stimulating, safe and inclusive learning environment, both indoors and outdoors
- Using assessment information to inform next steps and adapt provision to meet individual needs
- Supporting children’s personal, social and emotional development, including routines, independence and positive behaviour
- Working closely with Early Years practitioners and support staff to ensure consistent, high-quality provision
- Participating in team meetings, planning sessions and professional development opportunities
- Supporting smooth transitions for pupils into Reception and on to Key Stage 1
The successful candidate will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have recent and relevant experience teaching in Reception or Early Years
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the EYFS statutory framework, including assessment and moderation
- Be reflective, organised and committed to continuous professional development
- Share the school's commitment to inclusion, equality and high expectations for all pupils

Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with a strong Early Years background are encouraged to apply.
All applicants must hold an Enhanced Child's DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
