Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a Primary School based in Stoke-on-Trent who are looking for a Reception Teacher to start in January until the end of the academic year.

This is a great opportunity for an ECT who is looking to start their career in teaching.

About the role:

  • Start-date: 5th January
  • Ongoing until the end of the academic year
  • Paid to scale

As a Reception Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons which provide students with the best start to their learning journey. You will create a welcoming and inclusive environment where every child feels supported as they prepare for the transition into KS1. Additionally, you will provide updates to parents/carers when necessary and work closely with support staff to ensure all needs of students are met.

What we’re looking for:

  • QTS in Primary Education
  • Strong knowledge of EYFS curriculum and current teaching techniques
  • A calm, empathetic and patient approach to behaviour management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both students and staff
  • Organisation and ability to adapt to different teaching styles when necessary

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
