Role Overview
- Plan and deliver imaginative play-based learning and structured activities, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Create a nurturing classroom atmosphere where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to try new things.
- Use creative teaching strategies and resources to support literacy, numeracy, and personal development.
- Observe, assess, and record children’s progress, using insights to inform planning and feedback.
- Maintain strong partnerships with parents, carers, and colleagues for holistic support of each child.
- Contribute positively to school life through participation in initiatives, meetings, and ongoing professional development.
- Celebrate diversity and individuality, ensuring every pupil is included and encouraged.
Person Specification
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching in Early Years (Reception ideally).
- Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and child development for children aged 4–5.
- Warm, engaging teaching style that inspires learning through play and discovery.
- Organised, adaptable, and proactive approach to classroom practice.
- Genuine commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and collaborative working.
- Desire to support and contribute to a happy school community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
