As a Catholic school, the RE curriculum constitutes 10% of students’ timetables across KS3 and KS4. The school attracts approximately 35% practicing Catholics as new entrants and welcomes students from a wide range of Christian denominations as well as students of other faiths, such as Islam and Sikh, as well as students of no faith. The school is incredibly proud of its Catholic life and Servite values.

The school environment is open and welcoming, with a vision for inclusion, compassion and empathy. An injection in funding has helped the school open a new building with excellent facilities, strong track record in academic results, and a community that is cohesive and supportive.

Requirements for the role:

  • QTS or PGCE in Religious Studies
  • Experience in education (Desirable)
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service

  • Innovative cloud based teaching platform
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • A strong personalised programme of professional development and coaching for teachers and support staff
  • Strong links with other local schools for partnership working and support
  • A strong community spirit
  • Staff who are very supportive towards each other with a great camaraderie existing throughout the school
