Teaching Personnel are working alongside an ‘Outstanding’ school that is able to offer an incredibly exciting opportunity for an innovative and passionate RE teacher or assistant Head of Department.

As a Catholic school, the RE curriculum constitutes 10% of students’ timetables across KS3 and KS4. It is essential that this curriculum is well planned and delivered and therefore provides our students with a strong and compassionate religious, moral and ethical education. The department is ready for a new phase and this is a potentially once in a career opportunity to help develop a new and contemporary RE vision and curriculum for our students.

The school attracts approximately 35% practicing Catholics as new entrants and welcomes students from a wide range of Christian denominations as well as students of other faiths, such as Islam and Sikh, as well as students of no faith. Requirements for the role:

• QTS or PGCE in Religious Studies
• Experience in education (Desirable)
• Enhanced DBS on the update service
• 2 career references from previous roles
• Strong subject knowledge and ability to raise attainment
• Able to teach KS3-KS4 curriculum
