We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified Primary Teacher to join a specialist SEN school supporting pupils within Key Stage 1. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a well-supported, nurturing environment.

The Role

You will be leading a mixed-ability KS1 class, supporting pupils with a range of complex needs. The class group reflects the school’s broad spectrum of SEN provision.

Needs within the Class

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Physical Disabilities (PD)
  • Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
  • Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCPs
  • Create a safe, structured and inclusive classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and wider multidisciplinary teams
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress effectively
  • Support communication, behaviour and sensory needs

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
  • Proven experience working within SEN settings (essential)
  • Experience teaching KS1 or primary-aged pupils
  • Strong understanding of ASD and complex learning needs
  • Confident managing challenging behaviours positively
  • A patient, resilient and proactive approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
