Qualified Maths Teacher

Pay rate: MPS/UPS
We are currently working with a well-regarded secondary school in Walsall who are seeking a passionate and committed Qualified Maths Teacher to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic practitioner looking to make a real impact within a supportive and forward-thinking Maths department.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the potential for KS5 depending on experience. The successful candidate will be expected to plan, prepare and deliver lessons that inspire students, raise attainment and promote a positive attitude towards Maths.
You will be joining a collaborative department with strong leadership and a clear focus on improving outcomes for all learners. The school is looking for someone who can build positive relationships with students, manage behaviour effectively and contribute to the wider school community.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Differentiate learning to support students of all abilities
- Track and assess student progress effectively
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
- Contribute to departmental planning and development
- Support students in achieving their full academic potential
- Work collaboratively with staff across the school
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
- Experience teaching Maths at secondary level (KS3/KS4 essential)
- Confident classroom practitioner with good behaviour management skills
- Passionate about student progress and achievement
- Able to build strong relationships with students and staff
- Flexible, proactive and committed to high standards

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
