Location: Gateshead
Start Date: September 2026
Contract Type: Flexible 
Pay: £130–£251 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting an enthusiastic and dedicated Psychology Teacher to work across a range of supportive secondary schools in and around Gateshead from September 2026.

Whether you are an experienced teacher, an ECT, or looking to return to the classroom, we have rewarding opportunities available to suit your goals and availability.

About the Role

As a Psychology Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and thought-provoking Psychology lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Differentiate learning to support students of varying abilities and backgrounds
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and pastoral teams to promote positive outcomes for students
  • Uphold high standards of behaviour, engagement, and academic progress

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Have experience teaching Psychology within a secondary school setting
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Be confident, adaptable, and passionate about education
  • Have strong communication and organisational skills
  • Be committed to supporting students both academically and personally

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
