Psychology Graduates / Students – Primary School Support Roles (Stockton & Surrounding Areas)
We are currently seeking motivated and compassionate Psychology students or graduates to support pupils in primary schools across Stockton and the surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with children, particularly those with additional needs, while developing valuable skills for a future career in psychology, education, or mental health.
Location: Stockton-on-Tees & surrounding areas
Position: Psychology Graduate / Student – Primary School Support
Start Date: Ongoing
Pay: £90–£100 per day (depending on the role)
Shifts: Flexible (full-time or part-time available)
About the Role:

Support pupils within primary school settings, both in and out of the classroom

Work one-to-one or with small groups of children
-
Assist pupils with academic tasks, emotional regulation, and social development
-
Support children with SEND, SEMH, or behavioural needs (depending on placement)
-
Help create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
-
Work closely with teachers and school staff as part of a wider support team
What We’re Looking For:
-
Psychology students or psychology graduates (or related degrees)
-
A genuine interest in child development, mental health, or education
-
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Experience working with children or young people is beneficial but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
