Location: Newcastle and Gateshead
Pay: £90–£100 per day
Schedule: Flexible – Work around your availability
About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic psychology students with a genuine interest in child development to work within school environments supporting children’s learning, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience relevant to careers in educational psychology, clinical psychology, teaching, or child mental health services.
Key Responsibilities

Supporting children in classroom and one-to-one settings
-
Assisting pupils with additional learning or behavioural needs
-
Helping to create a positive, engaging learning environment

Working collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff
-
Promoting children’s social and emotional development
Requirements
-
Must be a psychology student (or graduate)
-
Genuine interest in child development
-
Essential: Previous experience working with children (school, nursery, youth work, tutoring, care work, etc.)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
