Psychology Graduate TA

Location: Newcastle and Gateshead 

Pay: £90–£100 per day

About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic psychology students with a genuine interest in child development to work within school environments supporting children’s learning, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience relevant to careers in educational psychology, clinical psychology, teaching, or child mental health services.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting children in classroom and one-to-one settings

• Assisting pupils with additional learning or behavioural needs

• Helping to create a positive, engaging learning environment

• Working collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff

• Promoting children’s social and emotional development

Requirements

• Must be a psychology student (or graduate)

• Genuine interest in child development

• Essential: Previous experience working with children (school, nursery, youth work, tutoring, care work, etc.)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
