We are recruiting Psychology Graduates for Teaching Assistant roles in schools across York. These roles are ideal for those interested in educational psychology, mental health, SEND support, or future teaching pathways.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting students with learning, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing

  • Applying your psychology knowledge to help create positive, supportive environments

  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams

  • Assisting with behaviour regulation, intervention strategies, and wellbeing support

  • Helping young people build confidence, resilience, and key learning skills

  • Gaining invaluable school-based experience perfect for postgraduate applications

Working Options:
We offer part-time roles and flexible working arrangements, ideal for fitting around studies, other work commitments, or personal schedules.

Pay: £90–£110 per day (pro rata for part-time work, depending on experience)

Location: Schools across York

Safeguarding: All roles require an Enhanced DBS check
(If you don’t have one yet, we can support you in obtaining it.)

  • A degree in Psychology (or a related field)

  • Strong communication, empathy, and relationship-building skills

  • A genuine passion for supporting young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
