Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work within primary schools across BB4 and surrounding areas, including Rawtenstall, Haslingden, Bacup, Whitworth, Waterfoot, Helmshore and neighbouring communities.

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Work alongside class teachers to deliver engaging and effective learning experiences.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group interventions to support pupil progress.
• Assist children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and additional learning requirements.
• Encourage positive behaviour and pupil engagement in lessons.
• Help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

What We're Looking For

• Experience working with children within schools, nurseries, childcare settings, sports coaching, youth work or similar environments.
• A caring, patient and proactive approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different school settings.
• Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
• Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
