Primary School Class Teacher

Job Type: Full-time Salary: GBP95-GBP140 per day

Start date: March 2020

End date: July 2020

A Primary School in South Liverpool, Sefton area requires a Teacher on a full time basis. This school has been consistently using Teaching Personnel for over the years. The school has used us for both teachers and teaching assistants on a long term and short term basis. The candidates must have QTS and recent experience teaching in Primary Schools. The Head Teacher has stated they would be looking to appoint a permanent member of staff to work in the School from September 2020.

The Head Teacher is looking for an individual who has experience supporting children in the preparation for SATs and they want to employ a candidate with a verified track record of raising attainment. The class you would be teaching are average sized with a mixed catchment of white British and Asian heritage.

The school have recently recruited additional teaching assistants to deliver small group interventions across Key Stage 1 and 2. In addition to this, each class has a full time teaching assistant.

To be considered for the role, you must have:

  • QTS in Primary Education or PGCE (or equivalent)
  • Experience in working with children in a Primary setting
  • Good knowledge of the curriculum
  • Excellent classroom practice
  • Sound knowledge Phonics schemes of work – in particular Letters & Sounds
  • Good behaviour management
