Primary SEMH Teacher – Make a Real Difference
Location: Templecombe, Somerset
Salary: £31,650 – £43,607
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

We’re looking for a passionate Primary SEMH Teacher to join a specialist independent school in Somerset that supports boys aged 5–13 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Your Role
- Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across a broad curriculum for KS1–KS3 learners
- Foster emotional resilience and positive behaviour through relationship-based teaching
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a safe, structured classroom environment
- Track progress and celebrate achievements, big and small
What We’re Looking For
- QTS / PGCE (or equivalent)
- Experience with SEMH (in education or care settings)
- Calm, patient, and resilient approach to behaviour management
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Knowledge of positive behaviour support strategies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
