Job description

Start Date: After Easter 2026
Contract: Full Time – Until the End of the Academic Year

A welcoming and supportive primary school near Larkhill, Salisbury is seeking a confident and adaptable Primary Teacher to join their team after the Easter break for the remainder of the academic year.

This is a full-time position working across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, and would suit a teacher who is flexible, confident across the primary age range, and able to quickly build positive relationships with pupils and staff. The school is looking for someone with a strong classroom presence who can effectively support pupils with SEN needs and behavioural challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and structured lessons across KS1 and KS2
  • Maintain strong classroom management and effective behaviour strategies
  • Support pupils with a range of SEN and additional needs
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider school team
  • Option to take on planning and full teaching responsibilities, depending on experience and preference

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching across KS1 and/or KS2
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Experience supporting children with SEN and behavioural needs
  • A confident, proactive, and flexible approach to teaching

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
