Set within five beautiful acres in Fakenham, our specialist SEND school supports pupils aged 5–16 with Communication and Interaction Difficulties.
Our pupils work towards mainstream outcomes, including SATs and GCSEs, through carefully adapted teaching, a nurturing environment, and the dedication of an exceptional staff team.
As we look ahead to January 2026, we are seeking a passionate and committed Primary Teacher who is excited by the challenge and reward of specialist SEND education.
A full valid driving licence is a MUST!
The Role
As a Primary Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the primary curriculum, adapted to meet individual EHCP outcomes
- Teach pupils 1:1 and in small groups, supporting communication, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour
- Work collaboratively with therapists, support staff, and families to ensure holistic pupil progress
- Create a calm, structured, and inclusive classroom where every child feels safe, valued, and motivated to learn
- Monitor progress and contribute to reviews, reports, and EHCP meetings
We’re Looking For a Teacher Who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has experience teaching pupils with SEND, particularly Autism, communication needs, and/or SEMH
- Is calm, patient, adaptable, and confident in managing behaviour positively
- Has a genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential
- Is committed to full-time, long-term employment
- Holds a full UK Driving Licence (essential due to the school’s rural location)
Desirable (But Not Essential):
- Experience or training in Autism-specific strategies, Makaton, PECS, Team Teach, or similar approaches
- Previous experience within a specialist SEND or alternative provision setting
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce Only) – ideally on the Update Service
- Right to work in the UK
- Overseas Police Check (if applicable – living abroad for 6+ months in the last 5 years)
- An up-to-date CV demonstrating relevant teaching and SEND experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
