A SEN/PRU Specialist Primary School in Bournemouth is seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to join their team.
The Role:
You will be responsible for planning and delivering excellent mixed curriculum lessons to Primary School children ages 5-11 years old, with various SEN needs such as:
- ADHD
- ADD
- ASD
- CD
- MLD
- OCD
- ODD
- SEMH
- Speech and Language Difficulties
- Other behavioural needs
The role calls for a proactive and imaginative approach to designing curriculum experiences that inspire pupils to learn beyond the classroom. It aims to broaden cultural capital and create memorable opportunities that support their development into adulthood. In addition, the successful candidate will lead a class of up to eight pupils, fostering a positive learning environment and delivering a high-quality curriculum tailored to their needs.
Who We Are Looking For:
- PGCE / QTS / Fully Qualified Teacher status
- Applicant must be comfortable working in a PRU (Pupil Referral Unit)
- SEMH / SEND experience
- Able to collaborate with other teachers and support staff
- Excellent communication skills
- Understanding of positive behaviour support strategies
- Able to de-escalate challenging situations calmly and safely
Working Hours/Benefits:
- Full Time, Term Time only
- Holiday Pay
- Monday and Tuesday = 08:30 – 16:00
- Wednesday and Thursday = 08:30 – 15:15
- Friday = 08:30 – 15:00

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
