Job description

Are you a Fully Qualified Teacher who has successfully completed your ECT induction and is now seeking a full-time role in a mainstream primary school?

Primary schools within the Solihull Borough are looking for dedicated and experienced Fully Qualified Teachers (FQT) to join their teams on a supply basis, with strong opportunities for long-term and permanent positions.

This is an excellent opportunity for teachers who are ready to take the next step in their career, offering the chance to secure a consistent role while gaining further experience within supportive and welcoming school environments.

You will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing lessons, with a focus on maintaining high standards of teaching and learning. Roles are available across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, depending on your experience and preference.

The Role:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Assess, record, and report on pupil progress
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively
  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and wider school teams

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold a UK-recognised teaching qualification (PGCE or BA with QTS)
  • Have successfully completed their ECT induction
  • Have recent experience teaching within mainstream primary schools
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the primary curriculum (EYFS, KS1 or KS2)
  • Be committed to raising attainment and supporting pupil progress
  • Have confident behaviour management skills
  • Be reliable, proactive, and eager to secure a full-time role

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
