Primary School Teacher Needed – One-to-One Support for Hearing-Impaired Pupil (Year 5)
Location: High Wycombe
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, 5 days per week | Fixed-term

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Teacher (QTS essential) to support a Year 5 pupil with a hearing impairment in a welcoming and inclusive primary school in High Wycombe. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference to a child’s educational experience by providing tailored, individual support in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalised learning support to a Year 5 child with a hearing impairment.

  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external specialists to create an inclusive learning environment.

  • Adapt teaching materials and approaches to meet the child’s communication and auditory needs.

  • Promote the pupil’s confidence, progress, and engagement across the curriculum.

  • Maintain effective communication with staff, parents, and support professionals.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.

  • Experience working with deaf or hearing-impaired children (BSL skills or previous SEN experience highly desirable).

  • Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and differentiated learning.

  • Excellent communication skills, patience, and the ability to build positive relationships.

  • Commitment to supporting the child full-time, Monday to Friday, for the duration of the fixed-term contract.
