Primary SEN Teaching Assistant – Eastbourne
Location: Eastbourne, East Sussex
Contract: Full-time

Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a successful and inclusive all-through school in Eastbourne to recruit a dedicated Primary SEN Teaching Assistant.
This well-established school is part of a forward-thinking multi-academy trust and provides education for pupils aged 2–16. The Role
As a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Work closely with teachers and the SENCo to implement personalised learning plans
- Support pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language, and SEMH
- Adapt learning activities to ensure accessibility and engagement
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Help create a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience supporting children with SEN (in a school or similar setting)
- Is patient, empathetic, and resilient
- Can build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
- Is proactive and able to use initiative
- Is committed to safeguarding and inclusive practice
- Holds a relevant TA or SEN qualification (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
