Primary SEN Teacher – Full Time (September Start)

Location: Trafford | Via Teaching Personnel

Are you a passionate and resilient teacher looking to make a real difference in a specialist setting? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Primary SEN Teacher to join a welcoming and well-resourced specialist provision in Trafford from September.

About the Role

You will be teaching a small class of primary-aged pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, physical disabilities and multiple learning disability (MLD). Pupils may be working below age-related expectations and require a highly personalised, nurturing approach to learning.

The school provides a structured, supportive and therapeutic environment, with strong emphasis on routine, communication, and emotional regulation. Staff work collaboratively with specialists to ensure every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
  • Foster a safe, calm and inclusive classroom environment
  • Use a variety of communication strategies and behaviour support techniques
  • Track progress and contribute to EHCP targets and reviews
  • Work closely with support staff, families, and external professionals

✅ Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience or strong interest in SEN education (ASC/SEMH preferred)
  • Patient, adaptable, and committed to inclusive teaching practices
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Team player with a positive, nurturing approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
