Due to an upcoming absence in our client schools PE department, there is a need after February half term for a qualified PE teacher to join them on a full time basis.

  • Excellent sporting facilities in newly built secondary school
  • February 2018 start date, full time position for duration of academic year
  • Work in supportive and collaborative PE department in high-achieving secondary school
  • Easily accessible via public transport links from Manchester city centre
  • Ofsted judged Leadership and Management to be Good in 2017

Our client school is a large, well facilitated secondary situated on the Oldham/Manchester border, which moved to a purpose built site in recent years. Since moving, the school has seen an upturn in both results and behaviour of students, which has been attributed to the outstanding provisions for learning throughout. The school is well regarded in the local community as the school of choice for students and parents alike. The school is situated on the Oldham/Manchester border, and boasts accessibility via car or public transport as it neighbours the M60 motorway and local light rail and train stations.

This position as a PE teacher will start after the February half term break and will involve the delivery of PE across both Key Stage 3 and GCSE groups, along with supporting the delivery of other key subjects in school. The incoming PE teacher will be required to have previous experience working with students aged 11-16, and those with excellent classroom presence will be highly desirable.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
