Job description
Teaching Personnel are currently working with a secondary school based in Stoke-on-Trent who are looking for a female PE Teacher to start in January 2026. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is passionate about sport and education, who wants to make a positive impact on young students.
About the role:
- Start-date: 5th January

- Teaching across KS3 and GCSE curriculum
As a PE Teacher, you will inspire and empower young students to lead active, healthy lifestyles through engaging PE lessons. Your role involves planning and delivering a broad curriculum that includes team sports, fitness training, dance, and outdoor activities, tailored to meet the needs of all students. You will assess student progress, promote inclusivity, and encourage participation regardless of ability. Beyond the classroom, you’ll organize extracurricular clubs, sports fixtures, and contribute to whole-school wellbeing initiatives. You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues to support student development, uphold safeguarding standards, and foster a positive learning environment. This role offers the opportunity to be a role model, helping students build confidence, resilience, and teamwork skills that extend beyond sport.
What we’re looking for:
- QTS with strong background in PE/sport
- Experience teaching PE across KS3 and GCSE (trainee teaching placements included)
- Excellent knowledge of the curriculum and current teaching techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both students and staff
- A calm, empathetic and resilient approach to behaviour management

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
