PE Teacher – Stockton-on-Tees

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated PE Teacher who loves helping students reach their full potential in sport and fitness? We are seeking a passionate and energetic teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Stockton-on-Tees, where teamwork, wellbeing, and lifelong participation in physical activity are at the heart of what we do.


About the Role

As a PE Teacher, you’ll deliver engaging, inclusive, and challenging lessons that inspire every student to build confidence, discipline, and a lasting love of sport. You’ll also play an active role in our extra-curricular programme, helping to uphold and grow our strong sporting tradition.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering PE lessons across KS3 and KS4 (and KS5 if applicable).

  • Preparing students for GCSE and/or BTEC Sport qualifications.

  • Promoting teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship in all activities.

  • Leading and supporting school teams, fixtures, and after-school clubs.

  • Contributing to inter-house competitions, sports days, and whole-school events.


About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with experience teaching PE in a secondary setting.

  • Passionate about physical education and committed to supporting every student’s personal development.

  • Confident across a range of sports, including both team and individual disciplines.

  • A positive role model with excellent communication and classroom management skills.

  • Keen to contribute to the wider life and community of the school.
