PE Teaching assistant – Peckham
Full-time
We are currently looking for a competent PE teaching assistant to support in a special school for students who have emotional, complex behavioural needs, some pupils who have a statement of autism from the ages of 5 to 19 years. The school is based in walking distant of local train stations in Peckham, they have had new students who have been referred into the specialist school and are in need of a teaching assistant to support across the PE and sports department. This academic year the school have incorporated many additional sports and physical activities both on site and off school site to gauge pupils’ interest in education through coaching and sports intervention. We are looking for someone confident who can deliver support across PE lessons, outdoor sporting activities, inspire and be a role model to pupils who have struggled with their education.
The school are offering:
- Competitive daily rate starting from £85 - £105 per day (dependent on experience)
- Access to CPD training delivered by an experienced senior leadership team and skilled educational practitioners
- The opportunity to secure a permanent contract after probationary period

- Sports degree or relevant sporting qualifications

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
