PE Cover Supervisor

Location: Walsall

Start Date: Spring Term/ ASAP 

Pay Rate: £90-£120 per day (dependent on experience) 


 

About the role: 

At Teaching Personnel, we are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Cover Supervisor to work across schools in the Walsall area. This role involves supervising a range of pre-set lessons across different subjects including PE, ensuring students remain engaged, on task and supported in a positive learning environment. It’s a great opportunity for someone flexible, confident in the classroom and passionate about supporting students’ progress.

What you'll be doing: 

  • Supervising pre-set lessons across a range of subjects including PE

  • Managing classroom behaviour and keeping students on task

  • Delivering instructions left by the class teacher and supporting learning activities

  • Ensuring a safe, positive and focused classroom environment

  • Reporting back to teaching staff on student engagement and any issues that arise

  • Supporting schools on a flexible, day-to-day or short-term basis

Role Requirements: 

  • Confident managing groups of students in a classroom setting

  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills

  • Flexible, reliable and professional approach

  • Experience working with young people in a school, coaching or youth setting is desirable

  • A valid enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one

  • Right to work in the UK and ability to travel across the Walsall area

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
