Pastoral Teaching role - Outstanding Comprehensive

• Full time position working with a Year 7 transition group of vulnerable learners
• Ideal for teachers with QTS to work in a small group of 12 focussing on Literacy and Numeracy tasks
• Those with a Pastoral/Nurture background will be prioritised, other applicants with experience of SEN will be considered

One of our top performing comprehensive schools in Surrey has an opening within their pastoral team for a teacher of PSHE. The school's Head is not concerned about strong subject knowledge as most of the resources and materials are provided and there is a lot of staff support for the planning and preparing.

The successful applicant will be responsible for leading a class of twelve year 7's who have additional learning needs or confidence issues and need the expertise of someone dedicated to providing a holistic learning in order to boost their confidence and eventually phase them back into more classes with their peers. Most of these children are identified as LAC or with SEN.

Obviously those with a teaching qualification or HLTA status will be prioritised but if you have the right experience and confidence to lead a small group then other applications will be considered.
