Teaching Personnel is supporting a school in Northampton to recruit a dedicated Pastoral Support Worker on a full-time basis, available for an immediate start.

The Role

As a Pastoral Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting the wellbeing, attendance, and personal development of students. You will work closely with staff, students, and families to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all learners.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and group support to students

• Support student wellbeing, attendance, and engagement

• Help students overcome barriers to learning

• Promote positive behaviour and social development

• Liaise with teaching staff, parents/carers, and external agencies

• Maintain accurate records and contribute to reports

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience working with children or young people in a school or pastoral setting

• Empathetic, approachable, and professional

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to manage sensitive situations with discretion

• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and pupil wellbeing

• Flexible and proactive approach to supporting students
