Teaching Personnel is supporting a school in Northampton to recruit a dedicated Pastoral Support Worker on a full-time basis, available for an immediate start.
The Role
As a Pastoral Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting the wellbeing, attendance, and personal development of students. You will work closely with staff, students, and families to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all learners.
Key Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one and group support to students

Support student wellbeing, attendance, and engagement

Help students overcome barriers to learning
-
Promote positive behaviour and social development

Liaise with teaching staff, parents/carers, and external agencies
-
Maintain accurate records and contribute to reports
The Ideal Candidate

Experience working with children or young people in a school or pastoral setting
-
Empathetic, approachable, and professional
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to manage sensitive situations with discretion
-
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and pupil wellbeing
-
Flexible and proactive approach to supporting students
