Job description
Part-Time SEND Support Assistant – Primary School, Leigh
(8:30 – 3:30, 3 days per week)
Teaching Personnel are working closely with a primary school in the Leigh area who is looking to appoint a dedicated SEND Support Assistant on a part-time basis. This role will involve working closely with pupils who require additional support, including those with autism, ADHD, or speech and language needs.
You will play a key role in helping pupils access the curriculum, develop social skills, and build confidence in a structured environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEND (Such as autism and ADHD)
- Implementing EHCP targets and tailored support strategies
- Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour management
- Working collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO
Requirements:
- Experience supporting children with SEND a professional setting
- A calm, empathetic, and resilient nature
- Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
