We are seeking a compassionate, committed, and experienced Part-Time SEN Teacher to join our dedicated team, working with children who have a range of special educational needs within a mainstream Primary School.
About the Role:
You will work closely with individual pupils and small groups to deliver tailored learning plans that support academic, emotional, and social development. Your creativity and expertise will help create a nurturing, inclusive environment where all students can thrive. You will be supporting children across KS1 and KS2.
Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Burnley
Hours: Part-time – 3 x days per week
Start Date: 1st September 2025
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons tailored to individual SEN needs for children in KS1 and KS2
- Use tailored personalised learning plans to meet the needs of the children
- Collaborate with the SENCO, teaching staff, and external specialists
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate records in line with EHCPs
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Relevant SEN teaching experience
- Proven experience working with children with SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, MLD, SEMH)
- Strong understanding of EHCPs, differentiation, and inclusive practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach
