Outreach Support Worker – Post 16 SEND
Location: Thirsk, North Yorkshire

Pay: £90–£110 per day
Hours:

Monday: 8:30am–4:30pm

Tuesday–Friday: 8:30am–1:00pm
Teaching Personnel is recruiting an Outreach Support Worker for an independent specialist school supporting post-16 students with Autism, anxiety and social communication needs.
This is a site-based role focused on emotional wellbeing, safeguarding, independence and preparation for adulthood, within an all-boys school guided by a strong ethos of kindness, inclusion and conflict resolution.
Key Responsibilities
-
Provide consistent SEND and emotional support to post-16 students
-
Build trusting relationships and act as a key point of contact
-
Support social education, wellbeing and EHCP outcomes
-
Promote independence and independent living skills
-
Use calm, restorative approaches to support behaviour and regulation
About You
-
Experience with SEND, SEMH or high-anxiety learners
-
Calm, patient and emotionally intelligent
-
Confident supporting young people in a nurturing but structured setting
-
Background in education, care, youth work or outreach preferred

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
