Nursery Practitioner – Pre-School Settings
School Hours | Local Infant Schools in Southampton

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting qualified and experienced Nursery Practitioners to work within a number of local pre-school settings based on infant school sites.

These roles are ideal for candidates looking for the benefits of school-based hours, offering shorter working days compared to traditional nursery settings whilst still providing rewarding opportunities to support children in the early stages of their education and development.

Our partner schools are seeking caring, enthusiastic, and reliable practitioners who are passionate about Early Years education and confident supporting young children within a pre-school environment.

The successful candidates will:

  • Support children’s learning and development through play-based activities
  • Help create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment
  • Work closely with class teachers and Early Years staff
  • Encourage children’s social, emotional, and communication development
  • Support with daily routines and classroom organisation

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Hold a recognised Early Years qualification
  • Have previous experience working within nursery or pre-school settings
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Are patient, caring, and able to build positive relationships with children and staff
  • Have excellent communication and teamwork skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
