Level 3 Nursery / EYFS Teaching Assistant – Looe & Polperro

Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Nursery / Early Years Teaching Assistant to support Early Years settings and schools across the Looe and Polperro area.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about early childhood development and supporting young children during their crucial early learning years. Opportunities are available for both full-time roles and part-time, flexible positions, making this a great opportunity for those looking to fit work around other commitments.

About the Role
As a Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers and nursery staff in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment. You will help deliver activities that support children’s learning, development, and social skills in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support children’s learning through play-based and structured activities
  • Assist with the daily routines of an Early Years setting
  • Encourage social, emotional, and communication development
  • Work closely with teachers and nursery staff to support children’s progress
  • Help maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment

What We’re Looking For

  • A Level 3 qualification in Education, Childcare, Nursery Nursing, or Teaching Assistance (or relevant)
  • Experience working in an Early Years or nursery setting
  • A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach when working with young children
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Up-to-date Paediatric First Aid qualification (desirable but not essential)
